COVID19 on the Navajo Rez

September 1

The panel based webinars will be Tuesday evenings at 6pm and the topics, panelists, and details will attempt to be reflective of contemporary issues surrounding the COVID19 pandemic. Please see the tentative course outline below.

Topic for 9/1:- The COVID19 pandemic has hit ethnic minorities, lower SES communities, and those afflicted with poverty disproportionately and especially hard. This is most apparent in the Navajo Nation. A Native American reservation geographically the size of West Virginia, with 180,000 people . . . and some of the highest COVID19 infection per capita, mortality, and community impact in the world. We will hear from emergency physicians and primary care physicians in the trenches.
